In my house there are 2 perfectionists, a recovering perfectionist, a good enougher and our perfect therapy dog. Well she isn’t an actual certified therapy dog but we all think she is perfect! See look at her…

A few years ago I came across James Victore a renowned American art director, designer, and author. I read his book Feck Perfuction and started my recovery from perfectionism. Observing the toll that perfectionism takes on some of my favorite people I made it my mission to encourage my kids to not be held back by impossible standards of perfectionism. I’m not going to lie…it’s been harder for some of us than others.

In this 7 minute video I share our experiences of working and learning from home and trying to do all the things that we feel we need to do. And it has been far from perfect…in fact it has been so far from perfect I think I’ve achieved the goal of being a good enougher.

Let me know how you are dealing with the challenges of perfectionism in your house. How do you cope as a perfectionist? Or if you’re a good enougher how do you deal with the perfectionistic ideals of others in your family? I’d love to hear your stories!

In the meantime keep going and don’t let the perfect get in the way of the good enough!

Imperfectly yours,
